Publishing delivers this as the opening message of a chat — a private chat per student, or one shared chat per group. Each recipient is recorded in a delivery ledger so a retry cannot create duplicate copies. Choose whether student replies are saved for staff only or also answered by the AI TA. Course admins can also ask the AI TA in a private chat to fill this form for review or, when explicitly requested, publish an announcement directly.Published announcements

Submission uploads
Students may attach PDF, ZIP, JPG, JPEG, and PNG files. Originals remain unchanged; preprocessing occurs only when work is explicitly submitted.
AI spending
Spend is USD, metered from authoritative Codex token telemetry. Each institute gives every one of its students the same monthly budget, renewed on the day set below. A running answer can overshoot slightly between backend usage notifications.Provider & pricing
The Staff/Admin provider routes grading assistance, announcement decoration, and other staff-only AI attempts using the selected provider's allowed models. It never controls student routing. Existing attempts keep their captured provider.
API keys and full Base URLs stay in server environment configuration. Input excludes cached tokens. Cache is the cached subset of backend-reported input and is counted once.
Usage and recorded cost by provider
Affiliation budgets
Set each institute's monthly per-student budget and student provider independently. An empty route set disables student AI access for that affiliation unless an HKU billing order is active. Route changes affect new attempts only; running attempts keep their captured route.
